DEATH: Although headstone indicates 1 Nov 1937, the Texas Index to Death Records, 1903-1940, Vol 57 p 28139 indicates 31 Oct 1937. The death certificate also indicates 1 Nov. It was thought inappropriate for him to have died on Halloween, thus the change in the headstone.

William Benjamin WYNNE and Margaret Welch (Mammy) HENDERSON were married on September 25, 1878 in Marshall, Harrison Co., Texas. Margaret Welch (Mammy) HENDERSON (daughter of John Barry HENDERSON and Nancy Judson BERRY) was born on March 20, 1862 in Magnolia, Columbia Co., Arkansas. She died on March 16, 1946 in Wills Point, Van Zandt Co., Texas. DEATH: 1974 issue of Who's Whose Wynne gives the date as 6 Mar 1946. 1988 edition correctly gives 16 Mar 1946. Death is listed under Margaret Henderson Wynne in Texas Index to Death Records 1946, Vol 2 p 1161, Rec # 15474 as 16 Mar 1946 in Van Zandt Co. William Benjamin WYNNE and Margaret Welch (Mammy) HENDERSON had the following children:
